29.04.2025

Bulgaria’s potentials for the development of Artificial Intelligence were demonstrated to the President of the European Council António Costa on the third day of his visit to our country. Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov accompanied António Costa to the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology – INSAIT, where they were informed about the current result of the work of young researchers of 26 nationalities.

INSAIT Scientific Director Prof. Martin Vechev presented the Institute’s achievements to Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov and to President António Costa and noted that owing to INSAIT Bulgaria has a tangible advantage over a number of countries as the Institute and its research work maintain a world-class standard. The Institute was founded in early 2021 and is the first of this kind in Eastern Europe. The Institute enables Bulgaria to become one of Europe’s leaders in AI and to join the global AI race.
