The caretaker government will continue to act with decency and responsibility and to show team spirit regardless of the sources of assault. The statement was made by Prime Minister Andrey Gurov at the opening of today’s cabinet sitting. No doubt, these days the caretaker government is parrying assaults that sound as part of the campaign, although we don’t run for Members of Parliament, we don’t have political parties and we don’t put names in nomination, Andrey Gurov said further.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that the assaults on the cabinet coincide with the investigations and arrests of vote buyers. They are committed just when the government is announcing a full set of measures against price increases. Also, they coincide with the disclosure of the shared trip of the head of the only prosecutor’s office that is empowered to investigate corruption and the man who has become the epitome of corruption within the Judiciary. Are these coincidences accidental, the Prime Minister asked.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the caretaker government’s doings are purposeful, transparent and law-abiding. Andrey Gurov said firmly that anti-inflation measures will be set in motion and that the Ministry of Interior will make sure that the election process is in keeping with the rules. The Minister of Justice will insist on action against members of the Judiciary who have chosen to side with power brokers, the Prime Minister said further.
