Important information for the Bulgarian citizens in Ukraine

Bulgarian citizens in the territory of Ukraine who want evacuation may contact the Situational Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria via e-mail: crisis@mfa.bg. Such fellow countrymen should provide the following details:

Name, patronymic, surname;

Telephone number to be contacted;

Location (town/village and address);

Type of the Bulgarian identity document that they hold.

Bulgarian citizens in Ukraine who may need assistance should contact:

The Bulgarian Embassy in Kiev, telephone numbers: +380 44 235 4389; +380 44 235 2202, and in out-of-office hours, telephone numbers: +380 44 246 7237, +380 44 246 7672,

The General Consulate in Odessa, telephone numbers: +380 48 7466 554; +380 48 746 65 58 ; +380 48 746 63 75; and in out-of-office hours for emergency calls, telephone number: +380 68 293 0048.

Upon arrival in Bulgaria the Bulgarian citizens shall present a Bulgarian identity document – an identity card or a passport. Even where identity documents are beyond the expiry date, Bulgarian citizens will be free to enter at the country’s border-cross checkpoints.

 

Ukrainian citizens will be free to enter at a Bulgarian border-cross checkpoint upon the presentation of a Ukrainian biometric passport and to stay on the territory of the European Union (Bulgaria included), visa-free up to 90 days within each 6 months. If they do not hold a biometric passport, a visa is required
